To give the exterior dimension and a timeless feel that fits the neighborhood, we used a combination of brick, board and batten, and cedar shake. This design choice not only enhances the curb appeal but also ensures durability and charm for years to come.

A Growing Family: The Marrs' Journey
Along with their four biological children, Dave and Jenny felt called to adoption, and in 2014, their daughter Sylvie became an official member of the family. Jenny Marrs recently posted a heartwarming video on Instagram of her two daughters running around the kitchen when they were little.
On Monday, March 17, Fixer to Fabulous star Jenny posted a new photo of herself, Dave, and all five of their children, as well as a second photo. The 'Fixer to Fabulous' star shared a rare shot of all five of her children. The HGTV stars are parents to Nathan, Ben, Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke.
The Power of Communication
It is the first time I watched a Speech Language Pathologist teach children the power of communication. Isa Marrs, a nationally recognized speech language pathologist who calls Westchester County, NY home, shares her unique story. Her work with children with special needs has been transformative.

Adoption and Cultural Identity
How do the Marrs ensure their only black adopted child, Sylvie, feels connected without another black child in the family to relate to? Six years ago, Sylvie’s foster mom in Congo, Dr. Laure, checked in on the kids at the orphanage where Sylvie had been and found that they were very low on food. She reached out for help, highlighting the importance of community support in international adoptions.
Jenny And Dave Marrs' Adoption Journey
Family means everything to the pair who are proud parents to Nathan, Ben, Sylvie, Charlotte, and Luke. Recently, on Family Life Radio, Jenny and Dave Marrs shared their touching journey of adopting their daughter, Silvie, from South Africa and what it meant for the whole family to grow together.
And so we took all of the kids to South Africa, Dave explained. The boys loved praying for Silvie to come home. But when Silvie came home, Charlotte was two, and it was such a beautiful moment for our family.
A Legacy of Love and Philanthropy
It’s family first, philanthropy second, and fame a distant third for the HGTV stars and Bentonville’s hometown heroes who make an impact with Help One Now. The Marrs eventually gave birth to twin sons, Nathan and Ben, now 12, and then embarked on what they call the miracle story of their adoption journey.

God's Presence in Uncertain Times
The truth of the matter is that God goes before and behind us AND our kids. He isn’t surprised by this virus or by these decisions. In August 2020, Jenny shared a poignant message: So many of us are making decisions about school—do we send our kids in person or do they attend virtually or do we homeschool?
Her faith-filled approach resonated with many: We can make the best choice for our family and then offer grace and love and prayers to every other family making their best choice. Jenny and her children walked the halls and grounds of their school, offering specific prayers over each space and person—a reminder that God is still in control.
A Candid Look at Criticism
Not everyone is a fan of the show. One Reddit user commented, I hate this show. I especially hate Jenny Marrs! OMG her face has constantly got the concerned and exhausted look... Despite criticism, the Marrs continue to inspire millions with their heartfelt stories and dedication to family values.
The world is filled with diverse perspectives, and the Marrs family navigates it all with grace and authenticity. Their journey reminds us of the importance of staying true to oneself while embracing life's challenges with open arms.
